Performance for Parents
On Thursday 13th February, the Devil In Drag cast rehearsed our play from 10am until 5pm... We tried to make it as perfect as possible. At 6:30, the parents began to file in to watch our performance. Our nerves were rising but we tried to keep as calm as possible. Many of us forgot our lines but we decided to show off our improvisation skills, which worked seamlessly.
In my performance, I, personally, forgot a group of my lines but I began to improvise, since I knew the Judge's objectives, and Hannah and Delainy quickly caught on to the idea and continued with our scene.
Since the whole cast was on stage the whole time, we had to make sure that we weren't pulling focus from the scenes, which is harder than most of us thought it would be since we had to do as little movement as possible...
As a whole, I believe that our performance went brilliantly and we all worked fabulously together to make it work.

Wading Through The Web Student Handout 1
1. Can you think of any other
ways the Internet and other texts are different? The same?
The internet an other texts (like books) are similar because they can both provide information but they are different because books can be seen as more reliable because a publisher had to check the facts are correct before the book can be published.
2. After looking at the first two
to three sites on Google, how helpful do you think the information is?
The first two to three results on Google are very reliable because they are the most clicked on and the ones that provide more correct information.
How is the information in Yahoo! different from the information
you found in Google?
Yahoo gives good results but the layout of the website isn't as clear, or easy to use, as it is on google.
Leading from...
In The Devil In Drag, the characters all lead from different parts of the body; this can explain the character without dialogue as it can explain things such as status.
In the play, the judge could lead by the belly to show how he is a drunk, lazy and old man.
Pizzocca Ganassa could lead with an arched-back to show that she old and worn-out.
Cardinal Amobone/Intruder/Father Mirone could lead from the bum to show that they are older but have a high status.
