I went to a pub and asked questions about how drunk people usually act:
Walking:
For a drunk character's physicality, knees should be bent while their steps are random and unsteady; like an old person'a physicality, it should be like "controlled falling". The walking should be as if the floor is moving and they are unable to keep up with it. The feet/legs should not be in identical, they should be different to show that the alcohol has confused their walking. There should be a moment where they stop to regain their balance (they sharply stop and hold one hand up to try and balance).
Body:
The body should go in the opposite direction to the legs' movement (if the legs go right, the body should be left). The actor should keep their body like a ragdoll to show that they are unstable which will result in making the performance more believable. The back should be slightly bent forwards or backwards based on the movement.
Facial expressions:
The facial expressions should look confused; the actor should not focus/stay with one emotion, they should keep switching between happy/sad/upset/laughing/etc. to show that alcohol makes you unaware of the situation and your emotions. The eyes should be slightly open (and flickering) but not wide open! Their lips should droop to show that they have no control over their facial muscles. They should use their faces (as well as their bodies) to make it look like they're always about to throw up or fall asleep.
Speech:
If the character has any speech, the speech should be slurred (how slurred is based on how drunk the person is). When they speak, they should hold one finger in the air (which points in random places) to show that they think their points are important even though they're probably speaking nonesense.
Holding alcohol:
If the character is holding some form or alcohol (whether it's a glass or a bottle), they should hold onto it the whole time but carelessly holding it. They should stop to drink some while they're walking and then get their arm and pretend to wipe any alcohol that might've gone on their clothes or around their mouth. If they go to sit down, they should put the alcohol down first, as if they're trying to protect it.
